Pick Up and Drop Off of Students – Reminders  

The school has received numerous concerns and complaints regarding student pick-up and drop off. Namely, cars idling or parking when blocking our neighbour’s driveways. We would like to provide the following reminders:  

• All students are supervised by school staff during pick-up (3:10pm) and drop-off (8:30am).  
• If you are not present to collect your child during pick-up, their classroom teacher will bring them to the office to wait for pick-up.  
• If your child is late to school, they enter the school through the front door 
• Please consider parking further in the community and walk to the school, for pick-up and drop-off. 
• Our Hug n’ Go works effectively for student drop off in the morning, if you haven’t used this yet, please consider using it. All students are welcome to enter through the front door when dropped off at the Hug n’ Go. 
• Please do not jaywalk across the street in front of the school. It is incredibly busy during pick-up and drop-off time and is unsafe. This also blocks the flow of traffic.  
• Parking, drop-off and/or picking up of students in the parking lot for Hidden Valley or Valley Creek is strictly prohibited.

Fish in Schools - Connect with Nature in the Classroom 
Our alevin are beginning to swim to the top of the tank, looking for food, so they have been released from their incubator and are now swimming freely in the tank!  We have also done our first water change to keep the ammonia levels down.  They are thriving (but are really hard to take photos of right now!) 

Overdue Library Books 

We have many students who have overdue library books to return.  Please have your child return their library books in a timely manner.   

 Lost and Found 

Our lost and found collection is growing.  Parents are invited to come into the front foyer to look through the lost and found items.  

Spirit/Snack Day was a huge success today. So many staff and students were wearing their heart on their sleeves!  Thanks to School Council for organizing the snacks! Stay tuned for upcoming spirit/snack days.
