Playground Update from Principal Chastko
On behalf of students and staff of HVS, we want to acknowledge the generosity of our school community. We are getting so close to the installation of our new Inclusive Playground.  In particular, a huge thank you to School Council and the many families that dedicated their time to our Bottle Drive, they raised $4,000.49. Their cheque writing campaign, supported by many HVS families, has also raised $2,733, this is just for the first two weeks.  Hand to heart, thank you.

Winter Gear Reminder

We have been lending out a lot of snow pants and gloves to students who are not bringing them from home. Please make sure that students are bundled up for school – this includes a winter coat, gloves, toques, snow pants and boots. Packing an extra pair of mitts is also a good idea! Please label all items, as many clothing items end up in our lost and found. If labeled, they will be more likely to return home.

Lost  and Found

Our lost and found collection is growing.  Parents are invited to come into the front foyer to look through the lost and found items.
