Spring Forward
Don’t forget that Daylight Saving Time starts at 2:00 am on Sunday, March, 9.

Online Learning Conferences
We will be holding Online Learning Conferences on March 20 & 21, 2025. This is an opportunity for families to meet online with their child’s teacher to discuss their learning progress. All conferences must be booked online through your MyCBE / PowerSchool account using MyConference Manager. If you don’t have an account, please create one to schedule your appointment.

If your family requires an interpreter, please let your child’s teacher know.

MyConference Manager opens for parents to book their Online Learning Conferences on Thursday, March 13 at 5:00pm.  It will not allow you to view conferences until that time.

A message to Hidden Valley School from the Veterans Food Bank of Calgary
Thank you for your generous donation of 380 pounds of food to the 2024 Veterans Food Drive, valued at $1,337.60. The support from students, families, and staff is a huge help to veterans and first responders, especially with the increased demand this year. We’re grateful for your partnership and look forward to your continued involvement. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

CBE Volunteer Clearance
If you have applied and received a volunteer clearance document from CPS, please share this with Elise to complete the volunteer registration process for the Calgary Board of Education at ebwolff@cbe.ab.ca

Dress for the Weather Reminder
Please make sure that students come dressed for the weather each day.  Packing an extra pair of mitts is also a good idea! Please label all items, as many clothing items end up in our lost and found. If labeled, they will be more likely to return home.

Playground Unavailable Before School
Just a reminder that the playground is not available for students to play on before school.  The before and after school program (S’Cool Kids) are the only children allowed on the playground, as they are supervised the entire time.

Alberta Education Assurance Survey
In its ongoing commitment to providing a world-class education for Alberta’s children, Alberta Education will once again conduct its annual survey of grade 4, 7, and 10 students and their parents or guardians. This survey will gather essential information about students’ and parents’ school experiences, helping to drive continuous improvements in our education system. This survey will remain open from February 18, 2025, to March 21, 2025. Students will be completing the Alberta Education Assurance survey over the next week and parents should have already received an email with information on how to complete the survey.
