National Day of Truth and Reconciliation (TRC- Truth and Reconciliation)
Each year, September 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. We will be recognizing this day, in a developmentally appropriate way, during the week prior. Hidden Valley School will be closed to students and staff on September 30 in recognition of this
day.
The day honours the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities. Public commemoration of the tragic and painful history and ongoing impacts of residential schools is a vital component of the
reconciliation process.
Reminder – there is no school for students or staff on Monday, September 30.
