Homeroom Teachers Are Your First Contact
I always try to be as available as possible, but please know that your child’s teacher should always be the first point of contact for you and the school.  If you have any questions, please start with them as they can then direct you accordingly.
School Absences
Please remember to call the attendance line before classes start in the morning.  The attendance line is open 24/7.  The attendance line phone number is 403-777-7236 extension 1.
Litterless Lunches
We are working to decrease our environmental footprint by Reducing, Reusing, and Recycling our food waste. This means that wrappers, plastic bags, juice boxes and other disposables will be sent home in your child's lunch kit to be composted, reused, recycled or put in the garbage.
Message from Mrs. Chastko – HVS is a Nut Aware School
As the Principal of Hidden Valley School, I am keenly aware of the shared commitment to respecting others, embracing our uniqueness and supporting each other through our sense of community and generosity – our school motto, We Work Together | Nous travaillons ensemble in action. Our students, their families and our staff make HVS a safe, welcoming, caring and respectful learning environment. To this end, I would like to take this opportunity to let families know that our school is “Nut Aware.”  This means that some of our children have food allergies, intolerances and severe anaphylaxis reactions to nuts. Please be mindful and try not to send food that contains nuts to school, when possible. As a strong community, we embrace the needs of all our children and keep them safe.
Bussed Students
Parents/Guardians are able to track their child’s bus. Information is found using your Power School Account and the following link:
Please help us! If you have registered your child for the school bus and have decided not to use the service, please make sure to cancel the service in your MyCBE account as soon as possible.
**Important** If your child is a regular bus rider but will not be taking the bus home or is being picked up from school, please inform the main office and leave a message on the school attendance line. Leaving a phone message ensures that our staff receives the information promptly. Thank you for your cooperation. 403-777-7236 ext. 0
