πŸ€πŸ“š School Council Meeting | Wednesday, April 8 at 6:30 PM

We hope you will consider joining us on Wednesday, April 8 at 6:30 pm for our Parent Council meeting. Recently, we’ve seen very low attendance, and parent participation is essential for the council to function effectively. Without parent engagement, the council cannot fulfill its purpose and we risk losing the many benefits it brings to our school community.

Parent Council is a valuable opportunity to be involved in decisions at the school and to engage in your child’s school experience in a meaningful way. Your voice, ideas, and perspective help shape the programs and opportunities available to our students.

Our Parent Council also works incredibly hard to organize fundraising initiatives throughout the yearβ€”including casinos, school dances, and seasonal eventsβ€”which generate an average of $40,000 annually. These funds directly benefit students by helping to subsidize field trip costs for families, purchase materials that enrich learning such as gym equipment and musical instruments, and support school residencies like Fitset Ninja, Alien Inline, and Elevate Lacrosse.

By attending a meeting, you help ensure these opportunities continue for our students. Even occasional participation makes a difference, and all parents are welcome.

We hope to see you Wednesday, April 8 at 6:30 pm either in person or online. We would greatly value your involvement. Click HERE to join the meeting virtually.

Fitset Ninja – Coming Next Week!

Next week, students will be participating in Fitset Ninja. For safety and comfort, please ensure your child comes dressed appropriately for physical activity.

Students should wear close-toed athletic shoes and comfortable athletic clothing that allows them to move freely.

Onsite Activity Forms must be complete and handed in to the teacher prior to your child participating.

Thank you to Parent Council for helping to fund this experiential learning experience for students.

To celebrate Carnaval, students will be participating in fun outdoor winter activities on Monday, April 6! The activities will take place outside for at least one hour, so it’s important that students are dressed appropriately for the snow and cold weather.

Please ensure your child comes to school with proper outdoor clothes (snowpants, gloves, jacket, boots)

Thank you for helping us keep students warm, safe, and ready to enjoy our Carnaval celebrations!
