Alien in Line Skating Residency

Please ensure your child’s forms have been completed and handed in to their classroom teacher. As a reminder, your child is welcome to bring their own helmet with the following important specifications: properly fitted, certified helmet (e.g., CSA, CPSC, ASTM).

Return Library Books Reminder 

Dear Families, 

Our library shelves are looking a little lonely! If you have any school library books at home, we kindly ask that you return them as soon as possible.  

Please take a moment to check backpacks, bedrooms, and bookshelves—those well-loved books are eager to come back! If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out.

You’re Invited: Open House!

Dear Families,  

We are excited to welcome you to our upcoming Open House on Thursday, June 18 from 4:00-5:30 PM! This is a wonderful opportunity to visit your child’s classroom, explore their learning environment, and see firsthand the work they’ve been doing. 

  • During your visit, you’ll have the chance to: 
  • View student work and classroom projects 
  • Learn more about current units of study and learning goals 
  • Explore the resources and activities that support your child’s growth 
  • Celebrate your child’s efforts and achievements 

Open House is also a great opportunity to gain insight into your child’s progress before report cards are shared. Seeing their work and learning experiences up close can help spark meaningful conversations at home and deepen your connection to their school journey. 

We encourage you to drop in, take your time, and enjoy celebrating the learning happening in our school. We look forward to seeing you there! 

Spirit Day: Happy Birthday, Canada and Field Day - June 17, Wednesday 

Let’s celebrate Canada’s birthday together! - a little early Join us for Spirit Day by wearing red and white or your Hidden Valley gear to show your school spirit. It’s a fun way to come together as we participate in Field Day. We can’t wait to see everyone dressed up—let’s make it a sea of red and white! 🎉 

2025-2026 Report Cards  

Online report cards will be enabled for viewing from June 26, 2026 to July 26, 2026. During this window, parents/legal guardians are welcome to view and print report cards online via their MyCBE parent account. Report cards will NOT be printed off and sent home.

Medication Stored in the School Office 

If you have provided us with medication for your child, please drop by the office on June 26th or June 29th to pick it up. We are unable to send medication home with your child, no matter what their age/grade. Any medication not picked up by June 29 can be picked up in late August or September when the school office reopens. 

Appeals Day 

Monday, June 29 -This is Appeal's Day, if there are any questions or concerns about report cards. It is also the final day that the school office will be open (9:00 AM–3:00 PM) prior to the summer break. 

Lost & Found Items 

Please be sure to ask your child to check the lost and found for any missing items by Thursday, June 25. Parents may drop by after school to have a look as well. Any items remaining will be donated.
