Fire Evacuation Drill – Tuesday, September 16
On Tuesday, September 16, our school will take part in a routine evacuation fire drill. These drills are a normal part of school safety and give students the chance to practice how to safely and calmly exit the building. By practicing together as a whole school, we help ensure everyone feels prepared and confident in the event of a real emergency.
Open House Save the Date - Thursday, September 18
We are excited to invite all families to our Open House on Thursday, September 18, between 4:30–6:30 pm. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about your child’s classroom, curriculum, and routines, as well as to meet their teacher and other staff members. Families will be able to sign up for a session through their MyCBE account, with details on how to register being shared on Monday. We look forward to welcoming you and hope all families are able to join us.
Annual Required Forms Are Now Due
Each year, schools have a variety of forms that parents / legal guardians / independent students are required to complete or review and update, some of which are paper and others online. For families who have not yet completed these annual forms, please submit the Demographic Verification and Annual Authorization forms in SchoolEngage for your child by Monday, Sept. 15. These forms are required every year for Alberta Education to confirm student funding. We recognize certain families have already completed Demographic Verification and Annual Authorization forms for their children for the 2025-26 school year and we thank you for taking time to submit them.
Details of the online forms found in SchoolEngage include:
- Demographic Verification - 2025-26 – This required form is an Alberta Education requirement as proof of Registration for funding purposes and includes your child’s personal information as well as parent / legal guardian contact information.
- Citizenship Information Update - 2025-26 – This form becomes available if you change your child’s citizenship information on the Demographic Verification form.
- Annual Authorization - 2025-26 – Combines the following forms:
- School District Use of Personal Information - explains how CBE uses personal information in providing education services.
- Consent for CBE Use of Student Information – provides an option to grant / not grant consent for additional use of student information by school/district and third parties.
- Consent for Use of Student Information by News Media and Outside Groups (Third Party) - provides an option to grant / not grant consent for additional use of student information by outside groups and third parties
SchoolEngage is one of the applications found in your MyCBE account. This is the same account that you use to pay fees, view academic information, book school conferences, register to volunteer etc.
If you do not have a MyCBE account, on the MyCBE page click on Create a MyCBE Account. For online help, refer to MyCBE - Creating an Account (includes instructions and a video).
To complete these forms:
- sign in to your MyCBE account
- click on the SchoolEngage icon
- select the form
- complete or review and update the form
- click on Submit to send the form electronically to the school
- repeat steps 3-5 for each form

Bus Stop Reminders
We kindly remind families to use the designated bus stop assigned in their parent/guardian MyCBE account. If you would like your child’s stop to be reviewed, you may submit a bus stop change request through your MyCBE account.
