Warm Holiday Greetings from Principal Chastko and HVS Staff
As we approach the winter break, I wanted to take a moment to extend my warmest wishes to you and your loved ones. May this festive time be filled with joy, laughter, and cherished moments spent together.
The break is a time to reflect on the past year and express gratitude for the wonderful community we have here at Hidden Valley School. I am truly thankful for the privilege of working with such dedicated students, supportive parents, and a talented team of educators.
Thank you for entrusting us with the education and well-being of your children. It is a privilege to witness their growth and development each day. I am excited about the opportunities the coming year holds for our students and our school community.
As we all gather with family and friends to celebrate, I hope you find peace and happiness in the company of your loved ones. May the spirit of the season bring warmth to your homes and hearts.
Student-Led Open House – as this is an Open House, families do not need to register to attend.
Our Student-Led Open House will be an opportunity for students to take the lead on sharing evidence of their learning, sharing their areas of strength and accomplishments, discussing next steps and setting their own learning targets.
As this is an Open House, you are able to attend at anytime between 4:00pm - 5:30pm. Your time at the school can take anywhere from 15 – 30 minutes. It is an important time to spend with your child. The teacher will be there to celebrate your child’s learning. Teachers will not be able to have individual conversations with parents/guardians regarding their child’s progress during this time. We look forward to seeing you!
The first report card will be posted on your child’s MyCBE/PowerSchool account on January 30, 2024.
Hug and Go – Reminder
In an effort to improve safety and increase the speed of drop off, HVS staff who are supervising the Hug and Go zone can open your vehicle door to allow your child to get out on their own. Children will need to exit the vehicle on the passenger side.
CBE Volunteer Clearance
A friendly reminder! If you have recently applied for your CBE Volunteer Clearance online, please remember to share your clearance results with us here in the office to finalize the process. Please share to: ebwolff@cbe.ab.ca
