Dear Hidden Valley School Families,

I would like to make you aware of  construction taking place near our school as part of The City of Calgary's Various Street Improvements Program.

The City is constructing curb extensions at both the east and west intersections of:

• Hidden Valley Dr. N.W. & Hidden Ranch Cres. N.W.
• Hidden Valley Dr. N.W. & Hidden Ridge View N.W.

This work will take place in close proximity to the school and will result in construction equipment, materials, fencing, and limited access to some sidewalks and pedestrian pathways around the site.

At this time, we have been advised that the Hug & Go area in front of the school should remain available for morning drop-off and end-of-day pick-up on a daily basis. However, traffic patterns and pedestrian access may be impacted, and there may be occasional delays or congestion as construction progresses.

To help ensure a safe and smooth arrival and dismissal for students, we encourage families to plan ahead and consider alternative options, including:

• Parking in designated areas within the community.
• Walking with your child to and from school using available pathways.
• Accessing the school from the back field when appropriate and safe to do so.
• Allowing additional time for morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up.

As always, student safety remains our top priority. We ask everyone to use caution around construction zones, follow all posted signage, and be mindful of workers, equipment, and changing pedestrian routes.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as these improvements are completed. We will share additional information if construction updates impact school access in any significant way.
